We were sad to hear, László Méhes, one of the most important and internationally renowned figures in modern Hungarian art, passed away in Bry-sur-Marne on July 5, 2022. He was recognized as one of the major artists of Hungary, as well as he was one of the most important and internationally renowned figures in modern Hungarian art. His works are in the collections of major institutions such as the Centre George Pompidou, National Museum of Hungary. As a remembrance, we are sharing an interview from 2017.
“As a diplomat of the Military Order of Malta, I do not deal with politics. We have humanitarian tasks. What is particularly good, that there has not been a similar order to this for 900 years. We celebrated our 900-year-anniversary in Rome in 2013. It is a very uplifting feeling to belong to an organization which has been working perfectly for 900 years.”
